Among Us Online: the whole Skeld, offline, against bots that lie
Among Us is Innersloth's 2018 social-deduction game that took over 2020: a crew of little astronauts keeps a spaceship running while one of them, the impostor, kills the others and blames someone else in the meetings. The version on amongus-online.io is a fan-made browser build of the same idea, hosted on this domain. It has the Skeld map with its rooms, vents and task markers, an impostor with a kill cooldown, bodies to report, emergency meetings and a vote. The difference is that the other crewmates are bots, so there is no lobby to wait for and no code to share — press PLAY and a round starts in a few seconds.
The bots are not decoration. They walk to tasks, they report bodies they find, and in meetings they vote — sometimes for the right player, sometimes for you. As a crewmate you win by clearing every task on the list or voting the impostor out; as the impostor you win by thinning the crew before they finish. A round takes three to six minutes on the default settings, and the sliders on the start screen let you make it faster, deadlier or longer.
Controls & mechanics
| Action | Control | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Move | WASD or arrow keys (touch: drag the joystick) | Walks your crewmate around the Skeld |
| Use / task | E, or the USE button | Starts the task you are standing on, opens doors and the emergency button |
| Report | R, or the REPORT button | Calls a meeting when you find a body |
| Kill (impostor) | Q, or the KILL button | Eliminates the crewmate next to you; then the cooldown starts |
| Map / sabotage | M, or the map icon | Shows the ship; the impostor picks a sabotage from here |
| Vote | Click a colour or Skip | In a meeting; the majority is ejected, ties skip |
Winning more rounds against the bots
- Do the wires and the reactor first: The long tasks (wires across three rooms, the reactor sequence) are where a crewmate spends most of a round. Clear them early while the impostor's cooldown is still running; the short medbay and admin tasks can be finished in a hurry later.
- Impostor: kill where nobody walks: Electrical and the top-right corner of Navigation are dead ends the bots rarely pass through. A kill there sits unreported for a long time, and a long cooldown is the only thing that stops you chaining kills.
- Vote on movement, not on colour: Bots vote a little randomly, so a meeting is not lost by one accusation. Watch who was near the body room before the report — the build shows everyone's position on the map — and use Skip when you have nothing, because a wrong ejection is a free kill for the impostor.
- Turn HD Skeld off on a slow Chromebook: The start screen has HD Skeld and Shadows toggles. Both off keeps the frame rate steady on an integrated GPU; the game plays exactly the same.
Key features
- A full round in the browser: The Skeld, tasks, kills, vents, sabotage, reports, meetings and votes — the loop of the original, served from this domain with nothing to install.
- Bots instead of a lobby: No room codes, no waiting: bot crewmates fill the ship, and the impostor is randomly you or one of them.
- Your settings: Kill distance, kill cooldown, walk speed and the number of tasks are sliders on the start screen, so a round can be a two-minute sprint or a slow hunt.

Pro tip: Set Tasks Amount low and Kill Cooldown high the first few rounds: you will see the whole map, learn where the task markers are, and the impostor will be slow enough to catch. Then push the cooldown down — at 10 seconds the impostor is genuinely frightening.
